The Rocky Shore

From week 4 we are going to be looking at "The Rocky Shore". As New Zealand is surrounded by the ocean this is a very relevant topic for us to look at. We will even get the chance to visit Omana Beach to look closely at the shore, what lives there and how we can make sure that it remains unharmed and healthy for years to come.
I would like you to start thinking about questions you want to find the answers to during this Inquiry. We will make a list and soon become the most knowledgable children and teacher on the subject :-)

Meet Rad Chad...

This year Rad Chad is going to help us with our Brain Breaks. What's a brain break I hear you ask.... well... a brain break is when we stop working for a few minutes at any time in the day and we get busy singing and dancing. It all helps to refocus our brain and keep us on the learning path. We all have those days where your teacher keeps going on and on and sometimes your brain begins to hurt...well brain breaks will keep you alert and active and they are also a LOT of fun! So keep your eye out for Rad Chad and be prepared to get your boogie on!

Share our blog with your friends and family so they can also share in our learning journey. Please leave positive comments as we love to read them and it feels great knowing that people all over the world are looking at and reading about what we get up to here at Botany Downs Primary School.
