Hundertwasser trees
We have been looking at Hundertwasser's art and we have created our own paintings. We know that in nature there are no straight lines so we haven't used any either. We made our background using either all warm or cool colours and cut out parts to go onto a corresponding piece of coloured paper. We also added in some extra detail using sharpies. Next we painted another piece of paper with the opposite colours and cut out circles. We glued a smaller one onto a large one then used some wool to add even more texture. We glued our trees to a trunk and then added them onto the background; the effect is stunning and we hope you enjoy them!

Interviews
For writing last week we worked with a partner to create an interview. We came up with a list of questions to ask so we could find out more about the jobs we want to do when we are older. We wrote questions, answered them then came up with a script on our own! We even filmed each other.

We had a visitor...
Dr Sasha came to visit us today to talk about being a vet. What an exciting job it is! Dr Sasha told us about how long it took her learn how to be a vet, some of the jobs she does each day and showed lots of interesting pictures that gave us an idea of what life as a vet might be like. We were also very lucky to see some beautiful little puppies... now we all want one! Thanks Dr Sasha, your job looks really interesting.

We had a visit from Stevenson
- A truck full of concrete weights about 20 tonnes, which is the size of 4 African Elephants
- Concrete cannot burn
- In WW11 they made ships out of concrete- and they floated!
- Concrete has been around for thousands of years, the earliest we know about is a floor for a house in Eastern Europe about 8,400 years ago!!!
